Fall is an important time of the year for gardeners. It is time to help you garden reset for the following year, a time for necessary maintenance, and planting overwintering vegetables and flowers. If you are looking for a comprehensive look at any of these topics please join us for our first annual Gardening Expo September 28th - 10:00 to 2:00. Seminars and workshops included in our Expo is Preparing The Garden for Fall with Mike (10:00 am), Naturalizing Bulbs with Rei (11:00 am), Bulb Planting Demo with Jason (12:00 pm), Planting Garlic with Mike (1:00) and lastly creating Fall Planters & Fall Magic with Candice (2:00). Fall is also a wonderful time to harness your creativity! The colourful leaves, pumpkins, and flowers make autumn a special time of the year. Bring those elements together by joining us for a great workshop making your own Outdoor Fall Planter October 5th at 10:00 am. Using seasonal flowers, evergreen perennials and dwarf conifers you will create a stunning planter which will convey all the feelings of fall into one piece. After the rush of back to school and before the insanity that is Halloween, join us with some friends for a fun and relaxing workshop.
After the fall flowers have faded, our window boxes tend to look a little lack luster. Join us for an inspiring morning of planting and laughter as we refresh and rejuvenate your window boxes. Join us November 2nd at 10:00 am to create your own Winter Window Box. Using seasonal flowers, dwarf conifers and evergreen perennials, these window box creations will take you from fall to winter in no time. Using versatile colour schemes, you will be able to dress them easily for Christmas when the time comes.
Last but not least, join us for one of our many wreath making seminars this winter! We have both decorating and building & decorating workshops available week nights for the public at 7:00 pm. These fun and hands-on workshops let your customize your wreaths into whatever style you like, while giving you the knowledge of how to create a magazine worthy wreath by yourself! Decorating workshops have you working with a pre-made fresh greens wreath that you can simply decorate, while building & decorating workshops have you learn how to construct the wreath by selecting greens and attaching them to the frame yourself followed by decorating.
